You have questions and we have answers! We know that extensions are a big investment, and we want you to feel fully prepared before making the decision (but we think it’s a great one, by the way, and your hair will look amazing!) Below we’ve listed our most frequently asked questions so you know exactly what to expect when you walk in our doors. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to give us a call or contact us here.
Rough dry your hair 80% of the way (meaning no tugging at the extensions with a round brush or comb, just use your hands/ fingers). This applies to Dry Bars as well. It is important to let whoever styles your hair know NOT to round brush your hair from the start to finish of your blowdry.
You can use any professional products that focus on moisture, shine, and hydration. We love a leave in conditioner to help detangle, an oil for additional moisture through the ends & styling creams that help with a smooth blowout.
Make sure to always get your weft 100% dry. Moisture breaks down the weft causing you to replace them sooner than 6-8 months. For example, if you like to air-dry your hair, try to only wash 1-2 times per week. If you work out, make sure to use a blowdryer to completely dry any sweat from your weft. You can use a round brush and a small amount of tension to smooth your hair and the extension hair the last few minutes of your blowdry.
We recommend a variety of products in order to keep your extensions healthy and long lasting. Professional products are the best to use when maintaining extensions. We can discuss which products are right for you during your appointment.

If curling your extensions, run the extension hair through the curling iron to smooth the hair once or twice before placing curls. This will give your extensions a more polished look, close to the cuticle, and prolong the extension hair.
To sleep with hair extensions, the best practice is to brush your hair thoroughly before bed, put it in a loose braid or low ponytail, and sleep on a silk pillowcase or use a silk bonnet to minimize friction and prevent tangles; make sure your hair is completely dry before going to bed as wet hair can mat more easily.
To avoid excess tangling, don’t overuse products. Especially ”repair” products with high amounts of keratin. This will actually damage the hair.
Hand-tied extensions can last from 6-8 months or up to 10 with proper care. Extensions should be moved up every 6-10 weeks, and being gentle with them and following our care guide will help them last longer.
We recommend coming in for extension and color maintenance every 6-9 weeks.
